Davy Crockett’s real name was David, but people called him by his nickname. He was born in 1786. He also died in 1836.
Davy Crockett ran away from home when he was 12. He also served in the U.S.
House of Representatives from Tennessee.
Davy Crockett always believed in independence. He always thought thought about independence. He believed in independence so much that he fought in the Battle of the Alamo.
When he was in the Battle of the Alamo he acted like a leader to all of the soldiers. He encouraged all of the soldiers to keep on fighting and not to go home. He also told the people where to go.
He died when he was in the Battle of the Alamo. He died like all of the other people in the Battle of the Alamo.
Davy Crockett was a good man. He was a leader to a lot of people. That is Davy Crockett’s life.
